Charles Michael Sims (Magic Mike), age 65, died in his home in Wenona, MD on September 26, 2023. Aside from being a loving partner, father, and grandfather, Michael was a jack of all trades. From master carpenter to waterman in Charleston, South Carolina, and right here on the Tangier Sound. He could do it all! When he wasn't watching a Ravens game, he spent his time walking along Deal Island Beach sifting through the sand and waves and collecting sea glass. His footprints along the sand will surely be missed. He is survived by his lifelong partner, Natalie Brooks, their children, Kristen Mandeville, Amanda Sims, and Charles Michael "Mikey" Sims II, and his grandson Emmett Sims. He is also survived by sister Patricia Tran and brother Edward Sims, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Jean Sims and siblings Donna (Tess) Sims-Pringle, William (Billy) Sims, Philip (Philly) Sims, Linda Sims, and Joseph Taylor. No funeral service is to take place. The family will hold a memorial to take place on Michael's Birthday on November 17th, 2023 at Deal Island Beach.
