Charles Henry Wesley Price, Jr , 92, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Chance on December 7, 1924 he was the son of the late Charles Henry Wesley Price and Elizabeth Tyler Price. Mr. Price was a Waterman . He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of OT Beauchamp Post 94, American Legion in Princess Anne. Mr. Price retired from local 25, Marine Division as a Tugboat Captain.. He was also a skipjack Captain and was inducted into the Skipjack Hall of Fame. He was an honorary member of Deal Island Chance Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Prices late wife was Evelyn M. Price. late brothers were Tyler and James Price, a late sister was Peggy Obert and late sons in law , Michael Jones and Sid Shupp and a late daughter in law, Ginny Price.
He is survived by six children, Gregory Price and his wife Dottie of Chance, Yvonne Swift and and Ronnie Cox of Eden, Lana Jones of Deal Island, Charles "Chucky" Price and Theresa,of Rock hall, and twin daughters, Teresa Shupp of Salisbury and Vanessa Lawrence and her husband Reid of Princess Anne. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Gregory Price, Jr, and his wife Kim, Amy Elrod and Jay, Christopher Jones and his wife Tara, Brent Price, Melissa Lawrence, Ryan Lawrence and Cathy and Sara Renee Shupp, , 4 great-grandchildren , Alex Jones, Greg Price III, Amanda Price and Ryan Price and a great - great grandchild, Harmony Price ,his sister, Katherine Shockley of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by Chucky's Stepson , Jason Jacobs and Chucky's two grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday Evening, Jan. 25, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. The Rev. David Webster will officiate.
