Obituary

Captain Arthur "Daddy Art" Stanley Daniels, Jr., a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great -great grandfather, devoted Minister and waterman went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. He was 95.
"Daddy Art" was a skipjack captain for 80 years, and the oldest captain on the bay. He was one of the original members of the Eastern Shore Waterman's Hall of Fame. He attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona.
Born August 24, 1921 in Wenona, he was the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Viva Daniels. He is survived by his second wife, Stella Daniels, three children, Stanley A. and Ruth Daniels of Wenona, Rev. Robert Daniels and his wife Janice of Crisfield, Virginia D. and Albert Hoffman of Wenona, one stepdaughter, Darlene Bozman and her husband Allen of Wenona, sisters Nancy Horseman of Wenona, Patsy Wilson of Princess Anne, and Maxine Benton of Wenon and daughter -in- law Beatrice Daniels of Wenona.
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Lee Daniels, Ted Daniels, Jennifer Cox, Lisa Tuel, Danny Benton, Stephen Benton, Andrew Benton, Deborah Benton, Jason Daniels, Eddie Daniels, Jonathan Daniels, Amanda Lee, Sarah Weeks, Albert Hoffman, Jr., Lori Wyatt and Terry Daniels, Jr. as well as 43 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Ladelle Daniels, son Terry Daniels, Sr., daughter, Brenda A. Benton, and grandson, Robert Daniels, Jr., brothers Jimmy and Paul Daniels, and sisters Mary Tyler, Elizabeth Webster, Mildred Hitch, Lois Isahm, and Nellie Horner
A funeral service is scheduled at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona where friends may call from 12:00 – 2 P.M. Rev. David Webster, Rev. Sonny Benton and Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. in memory of "Daddy Art" to help defray funeral costs.
