Westover – Bill H. Kennedy, Sr, AKA "Pop", passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 6, 2023, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born on December 11, 1934, he was the son of the late Ichabod and Nellie Kennedy. Bill retired from General Motors. He loved going to Tennessee, being with family and friends, listening to his bluegrass, flat foot dancing, drinking moonshine, watching westerns with a dip of Copenhagen in his lip and his favorite thing to do besides tormenting his daughter-in-law, Sue Kennedy every chance he got was to drive his most prized possession, his Cadillac sedan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marie Kennedy, grandson Bradley Whitelock, great-grandson Matthew Holland, nephew Glen Fritz, Alfred "Specks" Kennedy, and partner in crime, his dog Pebo.

Bill is survived by the mother of his children, Barbara (Sis) McCubbin, children Debbie (Manny) Madera, Bill Kennedy, Jr, Barb (Jerry) Brydge, Robert (Missy) Kennedy, Charlie and Sue Kennedy, Tink (John) Short, Steve (Stinky)Lowe and Brad Hill, brother Harry (Jeannie) McCubbin, loving grandchildren Harley (Baby Al) Holland, Robbie (Katie) Whitelock, Morgan (Josh) Lambertson, Shannon Lowe, Johnny, Linz, and Jordan Short, great-grandchildren Allison Whitelock, Shelby and Bradley Holland, Chevie, Cheyenne, and Colton Lambertson and many friends, nieces and nephews.

Pop (Dad) will always be missed and loved to no end. This is not goodbye but see ya later.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon at Connelly Funeral Home, 300 Mace Ave., Essex, MD 21822. On Saturday, October 21, 2023 a Celebration of Life will be held at 3PM at 8832 Wallace Taylor Rd. in Pocomoke, MD 21851.
