Obituary



Princess Anne—Betty Lee Twigg, 67, of Princess Anne died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009,
at her home.
Born in Girdletree on April 5, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Johnson and Elizabeth
Bradford Johnson.
Betty received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Salisbury State College
in 1967. She retired as an elementary school teacher.
Betty believed in putting God first, family second, and that the rest would take care of itself.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Twigg of Princess Anne; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Gregory and Tonya Twigg and Geoffrey and Claire Twigg, all of Salisbury; four granddaughters,
Caitlyn, Kelsey, Carley and Cassidy; a brother, Eddie Johnson and his wife, Sonja of Westover and a
sister, Gail Hanna and her husband, Mike of Joppa, Md.; an uncle, Leroy Johnson of Pocomoke City
and an aunt, Frances Johnson Scott of Princess Anne and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service wil be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, where
friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30-10 a.m. Rev. William
Reid will officiate. Interment will be held in Quinton Cemetery near Pocomoke City.
