Obituary

Betty Wilson Simpkins, 78, of Mount Vernon, Maryland, died on July 16th. 2012 at Coastal Hospice by the Lake in Salisbury.
Betty was born on June 27, 1934, in Mount Vernon, Maryland to the late Reginald H. Wilson and the late Mabel Webster Wilson.
She attended Washington High School in Princess Anne, Maryland, graduating in 1952.
Betty was a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed reading, music, and spending time with family and friends.
Betty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lloyd Lewis Simpkins, her daughter, Betsy Simpkins Schrock, her son-in-law Randy Lee Schrock, her granddaughters, Brittany Schrock Price and Kristen Schrock Boston, her grandsons-in-law, Andrew Price and Joshua Lee Boston, and her great-granddaughter Caroline Lloyd Price. She is also survived by her sisters, Regina Miller and Carolyn Dobbins, and her brother in-law Richard Dobbins. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lorraine Wilson Long and Jeanette Wilson Croswell.
The family thanks Betty's family and friends for the love and support they have shown through her illness..
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 18th. at 1:00 PM. at the Hinman Funeral Home, in Princess Anne. Friends may call from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. at the funeral home. The Rev. Olivia Costango will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
