Betty Barnes Noble

PRINCESS ANNE-Betty Barnes Noble, 91, of Princess Anne died peacefully surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010.
Betty was born in Johnstown, Pa., on July 12, 1918 to the late William Wesley and Gretta B. Martin.
She was a graduate of Washington High School in Princess Anne.
Betty was a stay at home mom for many years. She later became a beautician and was the owner of the Terra Sue Beauty Salon.
She was a member of St. Peters United Methodist Church in Oriole. She was a charter member of the Princess Anne Lioness Club and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #94. She enjoyed her years of volunteer work at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Co.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years, Clarence "Dick" Barnes in 1977 and her second husband, Arthur G. Noble in 1984.
Always a loving mom to her three children, Susan Cabell (Landon) of Salisbury, Richard Barnes (Helen) of Mardela, Teresa Henry (Ed) of Cape May, N.J. and a loving "Memo" to three grandchildren, Scott Thomas (Rhonda), Katrina Thomas Brittingham and Richard "Marty" Barnes, Jr. (Sherrie); five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She had four step-children, Ronnie Noble, Judy Beals, Richard Noble and Bonnie Elliott.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday at 1p.m. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. A visitation will be held from 11a.m.-1p.m. Rev. Jim Doran will officiate.
