Ava Carol McKirby, age 13, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026 at her home in Salisbury, MD.

Ava was born in Christiana, DE on June 15, 2013. She was the daughter of Rachael Mitchell, Gregory Dunn, Jr. “J.R.”, and Thomas Holston. She was the sister of Matthew Miller, Niko Holston, Cameron Dunn, Lillyan Dunn, and Tommy Holston; and was the granddaughter of Gregory Dunn, Sr. and Lorilee Dunn.

A student at Wicomico Middle School, Ava loved anime, Harry Potter, making bracelets, and she adored animals. She was kind to everyone and loved helping people.

Services will be private.
