Princess Anne – Annabel R. Sigrist, 94, of here passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Alice B. Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield, MD.
Born in Pocomoke City on May 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William Z. and Annie (Butler) Ross. Annabel graduated from Washington High School in 1945. She was a beautician for over 37 years and owned her own shop at Annabel's Beauty Salon in Princess Anne, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Sigrist, Jr. and brothers and sisters, Stuart Ross, Edna Sturgis, Georgia Pusey, Helen Lewis, Francis "Tom" Ross, Archie Ross, Ray Ross, Margaret Cottman Beauchamp, Edward Lee Ross, Hilda Byrd, and Bing Ross.
She is survived by her children, Donald R. Sigrist of Princess Anne, MD and Joseph A. Sigrist of Westover, MD, sister Emily Tucker of Lewisburg, PA, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1: 00 P.M. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Hinman Funeral Home, 11653 Somerset Ave. in Princess Anne, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. Rev. Amy Lawrence will officiate.
