Anna Mae Abbott, 88, of Princess Anne, passed away December 9, 2015 at her home near Princess Anne. Born in Oriole on February 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Barbara Laird Somers. Anna Mae Graduated High School in 1944 and did her apprenticeship under Lois Kataba to begin her Career as a Beautician. She owned and worked at the Pin Tail Beauty Shop for many years. She attended St. Peters United Methodist Church in Oriole.
Anne Mae is survived by two daughters Bobbi Murray ( Johnny) of Princess Anne and Beverly Webb ( Bill) of Princess Anne, five grandchildren, Jamie Lekites ( Kim ), Billy Donophan, Matthew Nielsen, Nikki Webster, and Jenna Evans, great-grandchildren Wyatt Lekites, Adreanna Donophan, David Griffin, Rallee Evans, Mason Ignaccolo, Bristol Evans, Josie Webster and Carson Lekites. Also surviving are her two sisters, Janice Leath and Savilla Canter, both of Princess Anne. She was very close to Karen Pietroski who she worked with and considered her like a third daughter. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Gilbert Abbott, her brothers, Robert Somers, Jack Somers and Arnold Somers and one sister Georgia Lee Clark.
A Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at the St. Peters United Methodist Cemetery in Oriole. Rev. William Kniceley will officiate.
