Alton Franklin Figgs, 95, of Fruitland, Maryland passed away peacefully at his home Sunday October 1, 2023. Born November 11, 1927 in Salisbury, Maryland of the late Sarah R. Davis and Harold W. Figgs. He served as Medical Technician in the Army during World War II stationed in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Figgs worked at Coca-Cola in 1957 for 34 years as a delivery driver and management. He was most known for being a warm and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great­ great-grandfather who enjoyed being with family and loved antiques.

Mr. Figgs is preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy V. Figgs, and son, Alton "Bunky'' Figgs Jr. He is survived by his sons; Robert B. Figgs and Timothy S. Figgs (Bonnie); daughter in law, Cindy L. Price, grandchildren, Michael Figgs, Angela Givens, Timothy S. Figgs II (Ashley), Dustin J. Figgs (Becca), Amber N. Figgs, Brandon Figgs, Matthew Figgs, Jennifer New, great­ grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Sarah, Kayla, Colton, Avarie, Autumn, Keera, Chase, Thomas, Kynley, Averie, Carter, Beckham, Dereon, Avery, and great-great granddaughter Mia.

A graveside service will be held Friday October 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne. Pastor Dean DeFino will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. of Princess Anne, MD.
