Alden "Dick" Haye, 78, of Eden, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in East Brady, PA, on May 22, 1932, he was a son of the late Donald J. Haye and Mary Lea Carl Haye.

Alden formerly owned Brake and Equipment Co., Inc. in Salisbury, Wilmington and Dover. After selling his business he worked as a truck driver for several companies including Roger Richardson in Eden. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Eleanor Haye; three children, Terry L. Carey and husband Stephen W. Carey of Eden, Thomas S. King of Laurel, DE, Kimberly L. McWilliams and husband David of Delmar, Md; Five grandchildren, Diana C. Carey of Salisbury, Stephen Carey, Jr. of Eden, Erica McWilliams, Lauren McWilliams and Danielle McWilliams, all of Delmar, Md.; a sister Donna J. McCarthy and husband John of Wilmington, De. And several nieces and nephews.

A sister, Mary Lea Patterson also preceded him in death .

A funeral service will be held Friday at 11am at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will be held in Olivet Christian Cemetery in Eden. Please visit www.hinmanfuneralhome.com
