FL - Alan James Beauchamp, 75, passed away at his home in Weirdsdale, Florida. Alan grew up in Perryhawkin, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his father, Joyce James Beauchamp and his mother, Lena (Beauchamp) Dorsey. He is survived by two children, Mark Beauchamp (Lisa) and Rachel Leigh (Beauchamp) Buchanan (J.D.), and grandchildren Kristin, Taylor, Christopher, Michael, and Matthew. He is also survived by sisters Carole Pinchak, Nancy Figgs (Norman Bromley), a brother Gilbert Beauchamp (Cindy), many cousins including close cousin Reuben Beauchamp, several nieces and nephews, and his dog Beau. After high school, Alan enlisted in the United States Army, serving twenty-one consecutive months in Vietnam, receiving a Purple Heart. He reenlisted for a second time, serving in Italy, Germany, and Somalia. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a yet-to-be determined date, pending scheduling. There will be a celebration of his life at the American Legion Post 94, Princess Anne, MD, on Saturday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. for family and friends.
