Kathleen H. Mitchell

Snow Hill РKathleen Hadder Mitchell passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on May 25, 2021 while surrounded by her loved ones at the Harrison House in Snow Hill, MD. She was born on May 31, 1932 to the late William and Gertrude Hadder of Pittsville MD. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Herman Mitchell. She is survived by four children, Helen(Leonard) Vogt of Denton, MD, Eddie Sr (Dottie) Mitchell of Willards MD, David Wayne (Mary Jane) Mitchell of Snow Hill MD, and Teresa(Raymond Sr) Riggin of Snow Hill MD. And one son preceded in death, Herman Mitchell Sr (Lacey) of Snow Hill MD. She has 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Aydelotte, Gladys Aldrich , Dorain Scott and one brother Bill Hadder and one Sister-in-law Mary Meilhammer. She is preceded in death by three sisters Norma Jean Willis, Louette Foskey, Patrica Carey and a brother Marvel Hadder.

Kathleen worked most of her life as a seamstress and care provider. She also helped her husband on their poultry farm. She loved to spend time doing puzzles and crocheting baby blankets for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Herman enjoyed many years of camping and family trips; especially to Pennsylvania to yard sale. Kathleen was a long-time member of the Church of God of Prophecy and served in many different roles at her local church through the years.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the caregivers who have provided such excellent care and support to Kathleen and the entire family. Services will be held on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at the Tilghman Road Church of God of Prophecy located at 208 Tilghman Road in Salisbury, MD. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm -1:00pm with service beginning at 1:00pm. Officiating will be Bishop Jason Miltz of Tilghman Road COGOP and Pastor Danielle Kellam of Berlin COGOP. Graveside service will follow at Melson Cemetary in Delmar, MD.
